Oak Leaves

My mom and I missed a shop hop a couple years ago, so a few weeks after its original date, we visited some of the same shops on our own. One of them had this quilt displayed and I had to have it. I don't normally buy kits or make quilts using the same fabrics as designed, but this one had the perfect colors for me. Of course, they were out of the pre-cut kits and only had some of the fabric available. So I bought what I could and then hunted down the rest online.

I didn't make the quilt top until last year. Then it sat some more while I practiced on my new-to-me mid-arm machine and frame. When I felt ready, I searched for the perfect pantograph of oak leaves and acorns to use for the quilting pattern and found it online too.

It's the perfect lapsize for one person - ME!
