Make a Quilt for Yourself or Someone You Love

When you make a quilt for yourself or as a gift, you put a great deal of yourself into the project. Choosing the pattern and the fabric are the first steps. Of course, the cutting of the pieces and sewing them together comes next. Finally, the layering of the quilt sandwich, the quilting and the binding are completed. Oh, and don't forget to add a label to your quilt, so future generations know who made it and why!

Local quilt shops are a great place to start your quilting journey. They offer beginner classes, plenty of books, patterns and fabric to choose and always have friendly and helpful staff that are ready to answer any questions you have.
