Kaleidescope Quilt

This is my first kaleidescope quilt. Using batiks was a challenge but I like the subtle gradations of color. Also, I learned the importance of using more contrasting colors to allow the kaleidescope center circle to be more prominent. This quilt is for my older sister Kathleen who lives in Virginia on the Atlantic shore. The peacock feather colors are so vibrant in person, the picture doesn't quite show the true colors.
The size is 62" square and I machine quilted it stitch in the ditch.
Hope you enjoy seeing my kaleidescope, there are more batiks coming to make another one!!!
