Jenny's Fan Club

I have made this all Blue and White quilt for my sister and best friend. She loves all things blue and white and has quite a collection of glassware, import ceramics and tableware.
As I started with the blue and white theme, I had no pattern just used my imagination and creativity.

Notice the angel block at the top of the center section. I gave her a tatted halo, she is my niece Jennifer Lynn Herrin. That was my first block.
When I made the sampler blocks including several fan blocks I really liked the fans best.

My sister lost her youngest daughter Jenny in an arson fire in Oklahoma City in October 2000. She was also my favorite niece and was only 26 yrs old at the time of her death.
As I studied the design I was creating I decided to use small size fans in my border, that inspired me to name it "JENNY'S FAN CLUB"
Jenny was a cheerleader from age 5 thru senior in high school and was involved in debate team and vocal music.
She actually did have her own fan club any time she performed, whether in grade school plays, cheering or music and debate. The whole family was always there to cheer for her accomplishments.
I am cheering for her today and everyday through the quilt I have made for her Mother. I know she will enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed making it for her.
