Free Quilt Patterns from Fabric ManufacturersDid you know that there are free quilt patterns available from fabric manufacturers? They are obviously a marketing tool - providing them to show off their new lines of fabric. I must admit that it worked on me recently. My mom and I spent a day visiting some not so local quilt shops. I fell in love with a kit one shop had displayed, but there were none left of the colors I liked. I did buy some of the fabrics, but I didn't have the pattern or some of the other needed fabrics. When I got home, I went online to the manufacturer's website (it was printed in the selvedge of the fabric I bought). I found the pattern I was looking for and it was free!! I immediately printed it out and then searched the internet for other quilt shops carrying the same line of fabric to purchase what I still needed. It all arrived yesterday and even though I can't start it right away (have to finish some other projects first), I'm so excited to have it all! This whole story got me thinking... I bet a lot of fabric manufacturers provide free patterns. To help you in your searches, here's what I've discovered so far.
