There is a lot of fabric for kids that are related to children's books
While browsing the fabric stores lately, I've noticed many new collections of fabric for kids. When making a quilt for a new baby or a child, I love to find fabric that is related to a children's book. Especially if the parent has a favorite book or author or the child is a little older and has their own favorite book. It's make it so personal and a wonderful keepsake once they grow up. Little Golden Books The Poky Little Puppy Maisy You can make whole quilts with these collections of fabrics or you can "fussy-cut" them and add them to an I Spy quilt or other quilt pattern. I've made an I Spy quilt for my grandson that used over 70 different fabrics. My mom has used the Wizard of Oz fabrics for a couple quilts. There are several Oz collections and she's done a kailescope quilt with the first collection and is deciding on a pattern for another collection.
